Do you know what it is to be a lover? To be half of a whole?
No...
I'll tell you a riddle. You're waiting for a train. A train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you; but you don't know for sure. But it doesn't matter. How can it not matter to you where that train will take you?
Because you'll be together.
Is this what love is? To be incomplete? To be waiting for something of which you are uncertain? Something of which you can only dream and hope?
And pray.
I think it is.
Love is the emotion felt when experiencing a hint of perfection. How else can it be described? If someone has ever loved, she knows this to be true. Combining bliss and fear, joy and sorrow, hope and regret, it makes the half whole.
But what is love without the other half?
It is nothing. Without the other half, love is mere fear, sorrow, regret; unending and eternal.
Without love, there is nothing good. Nothing of substance. Without love, the world is empty. Without love, nothing is worthwhile.
Apart from love, there is only hope. Someday, expecting, longing to be fulfilled.
In love, there are no limits. In love, life becomes more than a hope, it becomes a faith. A certainty. In love, everything is worthwhile.
Love always protects, it always trusts, it always hopes, it always perseveres. Love never fails.
